Always There!

A silent wish that one day,
At first glimpse of the one,
She kept it to herself in her quiet way,
Never thinking he would be won.
Then by chance years later,
They saw each other as adults,
A match that neither knew could be greater,
From a simple hope by one for these results.

Life goes forward with marriage and more,
The pure joy and love of just being together,
And nothing as rewarding than their kids bore,
Watching them grow and play in all kinds of weather.

Now with precious grandchildren to spoil,
She and her husband can relax somewhat from life's wear,
As their children now must toil,
To learn what it means to be ... always there!
