America's Destiny
I found my self thinking today
about our great nation, the USA
and all that She means to so many
even those who were once an enemy.
How could that be?
Well, it is simple to see!
It starts with our treasured
Declaration of Independence
that is the blessed cornerstone
of America's sacred foundation, the Constitution,
which expresses our cherished freedoms and rights
that have withstood all challenges
including from within.
It is the proud emotion felt when
seeing Old Glory waving high above
with hand over heart or in salute
when pledging Allegiance
or singing the Star Spangled Banner.
It is everyone who has ever answered the call
when America has needed their help to...
serve, defend, and protect;
govern and lead her people;
create and achieve the unthinkable;
reach beyond one's self interest;
have faith in what must be done;
and, even make the ultimate sacrifice.
America will always be
our beloved country
for all to see
as We the People
are her destiny!
