Love's Wonder
Love is an emotional state of grace,
happy tears streaming down the face,
the sharing of each other's embrace,
holding your innocent newborn,
and the memory of those you mourn.
Love has so many twists and turns
with nothing more painful than its rejection's burn
felt deeply in the heart of the one spurned,
leaving a wound unable to heal
and the inability to remember love's sweet feel.
Love found again can revive
the will to survive,
allowing you to thrive
in wonderful feelings aglow
with the one who made it so.
Love is two who care,
always being there,
overcoming tough times and despair,
aging together as a pair,
and giving thanks to God for all in prayer.
